There is a very fine line Smart walks between being tough and being easily provoked. I'm not sure I totally trust him not to do something really stupid at a really critical time if he feels his manhood has been challenged. I'm resigned to always having a love/hate relationship with him as a Celtic fan.

To say Brad didn’t have his back, even though Brad should be credited for Marcus’ success thus far (if Smart played under a different coach, especially one who wouldn’t know how to best utilize him, Smart would probably be a nobody).

I am unsure. I faintly remember a similar incident years ago, when he got into a more heated exchange with Coach Jerome Allen. I am fairly sure Coach Stevens accepts the good, the bad, and the ugly from Smart.

He is not a very "Smart" individual, which is why he drives us crazy. It still seems as if he needs to grow up and realize that having street cred isn't more important that winning a championship. He is trying to do both and as jmost said it has the potential to cost us at the worst time.
