He's really turning it on lately. Shooting the ball really well and making smart decisions. Unlike the rest of the team who seem to be competing for the most turnovers, Delonte is very stingy when it comes to giving the ball away.
He doesn't force shots, but has begun to take shots quicker when he's open.
Delonte isn't a true PG who can set up players for easier looks at the basket, and after watching Baron Davis, one of the premier PG's in the NBA, make it look so easy, you can see that we are missing that element from the PG spot. But I'm not disappointed with Delonte in the least.
In fact, I'm beginning to highly favor the idea of pairing Delonte up with a true floor general in the backcourt. Not necessarily labeling him as a SG (or off guard, 2 guard), but as a backcourt player who can help with PG duties. I like this idea because Delonte is such a integral part of us playing smart basketball that I want him on the court a lot. Plus, with his steady shooting from the perimeter, he can also be a factor with his scoring.
I am craving for Baron Davis. He could make us so much better running the Point. And sliding Delonte over to SG would give us two ball handlers in the backcourt and allow us to attack in different ways.
If not Baron, some other top shelf PG who racks up assists.

Yeah, I'm not much of an Andre Miller guy, either. Bibby is nice, but he doesn't create a lot either. He gets a lot of assist because he plays in Sacramento's efficient passing offense.
Too bad we can't go back and do the Baron Davis trade. He would really be nice.
Going after a young one before they really become stars may be the way to go. Chris Paul and TJ Ford are 2 that I would like to get. Hinrich is an all around backcourt player--a rich man's Delonte West.
