Can Theis prove to be a starting caliber Center for a championship team?
He’s going to get his chance, and so far Brad likes it. Says the starting unit of Kemba-Jaylen-Hayward-Tatum-Theis works really well together.

Theis has looked really good so far and that starting groups plays well together. Poirier also has looked good and I think Stevens will go with Theis for the more mobile centers and with Poirier for the bigger more traditional centers.

I think they got a good rotation with Theis/Poirer/Williams as they all serve an area of need. Only center I haven't been impress with is Kanter play. We'll see how perform once the season start.

so Poirier start vs Philly ? Against Philly, I want to see Semi and GWill go up against Embiid. Strong bodied guys who are quicker on their feet. More than height, I think positioning counters Embiid better.

Theis is having his worst statistical year with us. It's not being noticed that much because Tristan T is getting attention and because R Will and Semi improved and maybe Grant too

Theis is having his worst statistical year with us. It's not being noticed that much because Tristan T is getting attention and because R Will and Semi improved and maybe Grant too As stated, some of the issues with his statistics has to do with the bench improvement coming from the Grant/Robert Williams/Semi. I think Theis is a great veteran for the the front-court but, he should be on the bench adding some spark points. Two big lineup has been struggling this year and I think for the Celtics to be more successful they'll need another wing to help compliment the Jays.

If JT and JB continue their upward trend, then we could get by with Theis, but I'm not sure Brad is using him optimally. Theis is really good at 15 foot jumpers, but pretty weak at 3s. Can't we find a way to get him more of the shots he can make?
