Another one bites the dust. At this point, it’ll be who’s the last man standing. Aron Baynes, logically, might be the next guy to leave, seeing that we’re not likely to compete for a title in 2020.
Danny might be trying to get further under the cap, and he can gain a bit by trading the recently signed Baynes, and his 5+ million dollar contract.

If they also renounce the rights to Rozier and Theis we will be between 34-35M under the cap.

... all of which is great if it's a trade, because right now we're not a great free agent destination. Maybe if we're perceived as being contenders at some point.
I think the NBA is close to being broken by the superstars choosing to combine themselves into superteams. And when they do, more times than not it's going to be in warm weather cities, with NYC maybe the one exception. I fear it's going to be harder and harder for anyone else to put together, and keep together, a great team.
