Hmm.... they’re bringing him in to help evaluate prospects (I’d imagine big men prospects cause what would Oden know about playing shooting guard?). Hopefully he’s good at spotting subtle things about a big man’s game, whether they be red flags or encouraging things.

I always liked Oden, however he had like an old man's body as a college freshman. I am still wondering who the next assistant coach will be in BOS.

Oden looked like he was 40 when he was 20. And his body was older than his face.

I'll admit I was a sucker for Oden coming out of college (same as Embiid, big man prospects always intrigue me). I would've picked him over Durant which, in hindsight, epitomizes why I'd be a terrible GM (though to be fair, I thought Durant was an amazing prospect too).

I worried about Durant being too skinny. More than that, I was immensely sold on Oden.

I was a Durant guy, mostly because every time I watched him he was awesome, and every time I watched Oden he was underwhelming.

Yes. And it was reported that one leg was an inch shorter than the other. This is rarely true, but it does indicate a tilted pelvis that makes it appear that the legs are different lengths. It's kind of analogous to having your car out of alignment. It causes premature wear on the tires. In Oden's case it manifested in bad knees. To me the handwriting was on the wall.
