According to Steve Kyler, we are one of the teams currently linked to the Rockets. I guess that means we're interested in what they're selling. CP3, Eric Gordon and Clint Capella are the players they are most actively trying to move. The Rockets are looking for lottery picks (maybe that's why the other teams linked to the Rockets are the Hornets, the Magic and the Mavs. Are we dangling the 14th pick to see if they'll bite?).
I doubt it'll be for CP3 and his ugly $40+ million per year contract (for another 3 years). Maybe Gordon, since he played at Indiana and Brad might know a thing or two about him? Maybe Capella, as a mentor for young Robert Williams (whose game is very similar to Capella's).
Or, Ainge is positioning himself to make a trade so that the Pelicans feel pressure to act upon an AD trade sooner than later.
