In every draft there'll be duds -- guys you think will be special, but hardly fizzle in the NBA. You scratch your head wondering why they didn't stick (Cole Aldrich, Thomas Robinson, to name a couple), but it's just how it goes.
And sometimes you'll get a feel for a player, and you just know they won't be good -- the scouting reports and the draft buzz surrounds them, but you just can't agree with them.
Well, I have some players in the draft that I feel that way about. I just don't see what others see. And they are:
Coby White Cam Reddish Nassir Little
Coby White is a good shooter and scorer who has solid height for a SG. Supposedly is super quick and excellent handles (both of which I'm not blown away by). I don't know, just seems like an average prospect to me. Not some lottery talent. His passes don't have zip on them (especially chest passes that require distance), and I don't necessarily see great PG skills. A late first round pick is where I'd take him.
Cam Reddish is another Ben McClemore to me. I question his passion and desire to excel. Maybe Zion and Barrett cast shadows that were too large for Reddish to have any appearance, but that just speaks of his lack of specialness.
Nassir Little was a guy I was high on coming out of high school. NBA body, tough defender, electric athleticism, some slashing skills -- but I'm sort of trending away from players like him who aren't efficient shooters.

I think the names on the uninvited guest list are warranted. There are a lot of players in this draft that were one, and done, however did not show anything.

Let me clarify my take on Coby White. I think he can be an excellent role player. If he had a JJ Redick role, I think he’ll be exceptional.
If I knew that Coby will one day excel in that role, yeah I’d take him top 10 cause once it’s all said and done Coby as a role player could be among the 10 best players in this draft. But I still view him as a role player.
But if I have a top 10 pick, I’m looking for more than just a role player. I’m hoping for at least a Kris Middleton level player (above average starter / fringe All-Star at his peak).
