If AD decides to stay in N.O. to play with Zion, does that mean Kyrie leaves Boston? What is Danny's second option? Stay the course with minor tweaks or look for another trade for an established star to pair with Irving? If AD stays put, and Kyrie shows no interest in re-signing here, then Ainge either shifts gear and goes with the youth, or goes after other star free agents (Kawhi, Klay, etc).

If AD stays put (though I read he still wants to be traded, even after the draft) maybe we swing a trade for an all star like Beale to either pair with or replace Kyrie.

Actually, not a bad idea there. Brad Beal might be more Brad Stevens’ type of player than Kyrie.

Ainge said he thinks Kyrie re-signs with us if we get Anthony Davis.

Well, that makes two teams where he was so unhappy he had to leave. We should not have been surprised after the way he left the Cavs, but we were infatuated with getting his talent.
See ya.

At least CLE got something when he left. We'll have nothing to show for it, unless Danny figures out a sign and trade.

Danny was kind of cryptic after the draft when he said he couldn't talk about everything he knows. He has something else in the works. Whether it involves Kyrie or not is a mystery for now.

Kyrie is a quitter. He won't be back

I agree. But a sign and trade may be mutually beneficial for us and Kyrie. Or it may be something entirely unrelated that Ainge was referring to.

After reading everything over the past week or so, Kyrie is definitely gone. And, good riddance. He reportedly didn't like it in Boston and didn't like Danny and didn't like Brad and didn't like most of his teammates. He'll be on to another team where he won't be happy and will sow his seeds of unhappiness on the players there.
