After a 22 point victory in the opening game of Round 2, Pierce confidently claimed this series is over, and he saw no way Milwaukee would figure out how to defeat us.
Maybe he jinxed us, cause the Bucks trampled over us the next 2 games.
Pierce says guys were not playing hard in those losses.
Do you think that's true?

I thought game [HASH]3 loss was the game plan to double Giannis, only to be beaten by wide open 3-point shooters, mostly role players too.

Pierce says you see guys diving for balls in the POR / DEN series, but he didn't see any of that kind of hustle from our guys.
I want to say that I saw the fight in the guys early in the game, but all the whistles blown our way in the 3rd quarter took the life out of our hustle.

Basically I agree with him.

Basically I agree with him. The question is, why? The hallmark of Brad's teams used to be hustle and fight -- especially on the defensive end. Have we become soft, and why?

How I've generally looked at it all year is Kyrie is a soft diva. Hayward never got back to where he was. Horford is slipping. Tatum, Jaylen, Smart, and Rozier stagnated. Brad never held anyone accountable

At first, I thought having great depth was good. Only thing about that is we have young players who needed playing time to develop and learn their roles -- they never got a chance to do much of that this year (thinking of Tatum and Jaylen).
Yeah, Horford has lost a step. Hayward is almost back to health, but that doesn't mean his game is back to normal (next year will be much better).

This team needs a trade asap. I don't really like the idea of Anthony Davis in and of itself but it needs to happen for a couple reasons and one reason is that this team needs to be completely different. No Kyrie is completely different. Kyrie, AD, and whoever is completely different. But this team needs to be completely different.

Rather than gut the team for AD, maybe see if Durant will want to join Kyrie here to take down the Warriors.

Without KD the Warriors are borderline contenders if they don't replace him with a really good third option. This is because teams have loaded up to play them and Curry/Klay can be contained due to their weakness in their games. They alone are not enough to get out of the West anymore let alone to win the title.

He’s checking out as soon as the season is over. Question is, is his relationship with Kyrie legit? Do they really want to play together? And does Kyrie want to stay in Boston and bring KD here?

We would have to sign and trade to get KD, so who would we give up to GSW to get him because we already have three max guys in Horford, Hayward, and Kyrie. That is what hurts is that non of the three are playing like max players in this series. Would GSW take Hayward in a trade for KD as their third wheel? But then they would have to pay a huge tax if they want to max out Green as he has said he won't be the one to take a pay cut to keep the team together. This is assuming that they pay Klay the max to stay too.
