The Kings just fired Head Coach Dave Joerger, which is a surprise to me considering the outstanding job he did with them recently.
No one expected the Kings to be where they currently are (we C’s fans thought for sure we’d be getting a top 5 - 7 pick from them this summer), which is a .500 team in the competitive West.

I think Joerger was fired, because of off the court reasons, not on the court reasons. I thought he did a great job, sans playing the veterans over Bagley. Doncic, and Young were the #1 and #2 rookies this year, however Bagley was really good too, and could be the best player from that draft when all is said and done. |

Just when things were looking up for them too. Hopefully the new coach will not take them a step back.
Got a lot of guys on that team who I like — Buddy and DeAaron being 2 of them.

Bizarre decision. Did they think they had a good team? Oh, and hey new coach. You have no draft pick this year because we traded it away.

Read that Vlade wants a coach who’ll play uptempo. Guess Joerger wasn’t in that mode.

Read that Vlade wants a coach who’ll play uptempo. Guess Joerger wasn’t in that mode. They have a lot of pieces for an uptempo team, though their bench is kind of weak. |
