Well, looks like we’ll be short handed to start the playoffs, as Smart is out 4-6 weeks with a torn oblique.
This could turn out to be too much to overcome, or a blessing in disguise.

I am looking for Brown to show why he should stay in the starting lineup and it will save Brad from his ridiculous man-crush on Smart. Brown gives comparable defense to Smart and is light years ahead of him on the offensive side. My hope is that the only reason Danny gave Marcus 12M a year was to hopefully ship him out as part of a trade for AD. Which got a boost last night with Memphis winning and getting the 9th spot so we will have all four picks this year in the draft to offer NO.

Not only does Smart's injury open a door for Jaylen, but it dominos over to Hayward too, as he'll be counted on more to handle backup Point duties (which he's fairly good at), and provide more scoring off the bench.
Hayward was becoming more and more assertive and aggressive with looking for his shots. We're going to need more of that, now that Jaylen (I'm assuming he'll be inserted in the starting lineup) is no longer on the bench.
Also, maybe this gives Wanamaker a few more minutes on the floor.
