*This will be a thread designated for Zion discussion
To me, he is hands down the #1 overall pick. Not quite at the level of a generational talent who comes along once a decade, but the kind of player who will make an immediate impact in the NBA. A jumper is really the only thing holding him back from being elite.

I just don't think there's anyone else challenging him. Not that I've watched much college ball. I think when you fail there's a certain way you gotta fail and if you fail with Zion that's all you could have asked for. It would be like failing with Blake Griffin or something. There doesn't seem to be much of an alternative.

I think people are trying to place two other players in competition with Zion, or at least make this a more interesting draft by hyping RJ Barrett and Ja Morant, but I’d be shocked if Zion isn’t #1. For what it’s worth, if I had to draft Zion or Blake Griffin, it’ll easily be Zion.

He just seems clearly the most dominant college guy. He seems at least set for some sort of Elton Brand or Emeka Okafor type career and those were definitely worthy high draft picks

Lots of people forget that Brand had a few year stretch when he was arguably a top 5 player in the NBA. And Emeka wasn’t a household name, but he also had relatively good years in his career. Zion has the ability to exceed these two guys in terms of his impact over the duration of his career. His overall skillset eclipses theirs. Again, if Zion can find a consistent jumper, he’s 25 and 10 as a rookie.

Zion will be the [HASH]1 selection overall in the draft. As for player comparisons, Blake Griffin with a unique body.

I think the young Barkley comparison is closer. Griffin is more methodical than Zion.

I think the young Barkley comparison is closer. Griffin is more methodical than Zion. My comparison is based on STATS, like scorer, high shooting percentage, low free throw, etc. A young Barkley is a fair comparison, because Barkley was not rebounder he was later in his career.
