They're quitters. The Bulls have just about torn their arms off and are beating them with their own torn off arms and are like "Why are you hitting yourself? Why you hitting yourself?" and they just don't really care much.
They just want their check and want it easy.

Rozier chucking up shots for a check this offseason doesn't help either. You can tell by his play that he is one of the young guys that Kyrie is calling out (while he should be looking in the mirror at the same time.)

At this point i would rather keep tbose three and let Kyrie walk and pass on AD because I think while talented he is grossly overrated when it comes to winning. We can yse the money saved by letting Kyrie walk on another star who fits Brads offense.

I don't want any part of Kyrie going forward. I'd have to see renewed dedication and positivity and competitiveness, while making this place a very attractive destination for AD. That would mean WINNING. AD isn't going to want any part of this.
Kyrie strikes me as a weak diva that can't handle the demands of Boston. You don't play in Boston to be cool or fun or have your buddies on the team or to get paid.
Basically I would need Kyrie to become everything IT was in the best package Kyrie can be. But we're getting the opposite and the vets are following him down the hole of mediocrity. They're quitters
Jaylen, Tatum, and Smart aren't quitters. Trade for draft picks. Rebuild with some of the best young guys in the league. This window closed. Kyrie shut it because he doesn't have the fight to go through the window or to lead others through it. He's a quitter.
Nobody in the league even slightly fears the Celtics right now. Certainly Zach LaVine and Lauri Markanen don't. Robin Lopez doesn't either

Certainly no one can argue anymore that there's nothing wrong with this group. I feel the same way about keeping Tatum, Brown and the rest of the young guys, move on from Irving, and pass on AD. I'd hate to let Irving go for nothing, but it may come to that anyway if he doesn't resign.
One of the great things about being a Celtic fan in the Brad Stevens era is that they always played hard and usually overachieved. They were LIKABLE! This group is not likable at all. They give sporadic effort and lake of effort is the number one thing that makes a team unlikable. I don't know whose fault it is, but I bet Brad and Danny do, and I expect MAJOR changes this summer. We can't go through another year like this one.
Can they turn it around, or at least turn it on when the playoffs start? I DO expect them to play harder, more consistently, but they've created a hard path for themselves.

Eja117 - Irving is a diva. He also can not handle the BOS media.
Jmost - BOS has a few very likable players, however an equal amount of unlikable players. I think BOS will be either the 4th seed or 5th seed. I also think not having HCA in any round will cost them a series.

We can yse the money saved by letting Kyrie walk on another star who fits Brads offense. I am not a fan of AD either. My biggest questions about him is the fact that he quit on his team and that night he left the game with a supposed shoulder injury and then left the arena during the game and was fine a couple of days later to play in the All Star game, that just doesn't sit right with me. We don't need another diva. Kyrie is enough.
Also, I really doubt he stays with the Celtics as he has made it very clear he wants to go to LA. We give up a lot of assets and young players with a high ceiling and then are left with nothing the following year when he takes off for LaLa land.
I wouldn't say that we have too many vet quitters. We have one that give effort on the defensive end when he feels like it. Hayward works hard but just isn't all the way back from that injury. Horford works hard pretty much every game.
Rozier is just trying too hard to make a name for himself so he looks to score every time he has the ball. Morris and Smart play hard pretty much all the time. The other young guys are inconsistent, not so much because of effort but because of inexperience.
