The Celtics had a 36 minute team meeting after Friday night's loss. They didn't really share what they talked about but Kyrie had a very telling quote afterwards.

You can add Smart to the group who takes bad shots early in the shot clock. Kyrie is probably the worst offender as far as doing it himself and it's because he's so talented he can pull it off a lot of the time. But this team is only going to win it all if it plays basketball the right way. If everyone is healthy and we have everyone moving the ball crisply, we will be tough to beat, assuming we rebound and play good D. If we simply take turns playing hero ball, we'll lose early in the playoffs.
Too many possessions occur when two or three guys never even touch the ball. I think it's hard to stay engaged when you're not involved on both ends.

Brad Steven's offense does not work with deep, talented teams. There is like 8-10 players that get the green light to shoot. BOS top 4 players, shot attempts, are shooting great. BOS next 4 shooters need to either shoot less, or shoot better. Side note - Hayward has been a lightening rod for negative criticism, however if you watch his misses, he rims a lot of those shots which tells me eventually he will make those shots.

The perils of success from last season. Now, that trio of youngsters (Rozier,Brown,Tatum) are trying too hard on a team where they need to focus on doing the little things as opposed to being the offense. Tatum taking mid-range fadeaways with a lot of time on the shot clock or Brown being a black hole have been a lot more frequent it seems. At least they're publicly admitting it and showing some games they can play a well-balanced offense.

I am OK w/ Tatum's "ISO-Melo" shots, however Brown driving to the hoop without awareness, and Rozier jacking up shots is bad. I want the top-4 players taking the bulk of the shots, versus a well-balanced 8-players taking the shots.
