Looking for revenge. It's close. Interesting. I think Donovan Mitchell was saying he didn't get a single assist last game and that he has to change that

5/33 from 3 won’t win many games. I really wish we’d attack the basket more and take less threes but it seems this is how we play and how most teams play now

Eja, thanks for getting up the game thread. Live by the sword (3), die by the sword (3). For the die hard C's fans, what is different from Coach Stevens to Coach O'Brien (sans A. Walker, aka "the verteran all-star")?

Good question, Roadrunner. Watching the Jazz moving the ball and seemingly always creating great looks for each other, I was asking myself why we can't play that way. The "read and react" Celtics offense bogs down too often and frequently needs someone to bail us out with superior individual play as Kyrie did against the Raptors. I don't like having to depend on that, and I'm not too sure that the offensive instincts of several guys are up to this style of play.

Eja...I forgot about that. It was like 3 and no D.
Jmost...I like the read and react offense. I use it at work, managing my team. However, in both cases you need people that can read, and react. If you can not read, you can not react or if you can read, and your still trying to process/evaluate, you can not react.

Roadrunner, that's what I meant by not being sure some of our guys have the offensive instincts to play this way. Some of them can't read and process quickly enough to react correctly. The game is still moving too fast for them.

The game is still moving too fast for them. Frankly, I think only a few players on the team have the read and react instincts. Perhaps Coach Stevens needs to simplify the playbook for the stragglers. Hayward shines in this offense (sans the jumper not falling now), and Irving has too (he had few bad games, then Tommy called him out, then he continued from last season).

Yes, I would agree about Irving and Hayward. Probably Al as well. Tatum will get there. The rest I am not sure ever will.
