Per Bleacherreport:
Wouldn't you know, with all the free agency rumors it would be the Warriors to figure out a way of getting better. Makes our job in the NBA Finals tougher.
At least they won't have Bird rights to him, so it is only a one-year rental.

It isn't likely that he will be anywhere near as good as he was before the injury as big guys don't come back well at all from them. It was still a good signing by them, low risk with a very high reward.

I hope it's subtraction by addition and I think it could be.

So, aside from the specific case of Cousins GS, this tell me two things, or maybe Part A and Part B of the same thing, which is ...
A) If you build it they will come. Players want money, yes, but they also want to win a championship, and players will come to a place they think they have a good chance of winning one, even sacrificing money at certain stages of their careers
B) Boston is now one of those places. Cousins said it was going to be either GS or Boston. Durant said the same thing a few years ago. This bodes well for us picking up guys who are at the stage of their career where winning a title is at the top of their wish list, and at reasonable prices.
The other thing it tells me is that despite the 24/7 NBA media rumor mill, some things still come completely out of left field. No one was talking about Cousins to GS or to us.

On paper, great pick up. On game, will not be the same player next year.

You know what? If they're invinsible from the outside, maybe it'll be from within that causes them to crumble.
We heard they had some lockerroom drama this past season, with Draymond and David West making subtle comments about it. Well, now you add a guy who has much history being a headcase into that lockerroom, and maybe the foundation will start to crack.
