Rondo is now a Laker. How the (once) mighty has fallen. I think Magic always liked Rondo. At least as a color commentator.

So you can't really play Rondo and Ball together. They both need the ball to be valuable. I don't think Rondo is ready to be a bench guy. So either he's unhappy, or Ball goes to the bench (highly unlikely) or Ball is traded. Having James on board only makes this problem bigger.

To be fair it's well within the realm of possibility that Ball could improve. Although with his knee problem maybe not as much as hoped or right away

I'm beginning to wonder if we can add Brook Lopez or IT or someone pretty decent at this point.....in addition to Smart. It seems like a lot of money is drying up.
Even if we lost Smart....between Kyrie, Rozier, and Kadeem Allen I think we're ok and I think there are still other ok guys out there like Tyler Ullis and that's if you don't get someone like IT.
IT seems to be headed to Orlando.

I love the part where he'll probably be a quality player making less than a million bucks. Ainge is a master at stuff like that

I was thinking the same when Brad was signed, aka Larkin's replacement. Larkin on offense was fine, however he got abused on the switches, esp the series with PHI. He was not a bad defender, however at 5'11 your giving up a lot of height in the NBA.

Theis and Larkin were good finds last year. Now let's see if Wanamaker can follow suit.

Wow, never thought I'd see the day that Tony Parker wasn't a San Antonio Spur.
He just signed with the Hornets.

This is my crazy idea. Send a 6 million per for 2 years deal to IT and to Smart. See which one takes it. Withdraw from the one that doesn't.
Or maybe add them both or reduce the offer to the other guy.
I think this should be resolved soon

No to IT. We finally have size to switch on everything to avoid mismatches. IT exposes us again.
Anyways, it looks like Smart has little to choose from. Take the qualifying offer this summer, and try to hit jackpot again next year.

IT signed a 1-year, $2m contract. Matchbox Brinks truck?

IT signed a 1-year, $2m contract. Matchbox Brinks truck? If Denver gets the 6th man of the year for $2 mill it's probably the signing of the year.

Sucks for IT that playing through his injury winds up costing him millions, maybe tens of millions. Love the guy's heart, hope he has a great year and then cashes in next summer.
