I agree but money is getting tight for this team. Maybe we don't have to give him as much now. At least if he blows the doors off in summer league. Also this will be the last year on Theis deal, and his deal is very cheap. And Yabu didn't work out great this year

I wonder if Spellman will turn out to have a better career than Robert Williams? He's probably more complete at this point in time. It all depends if Robert Williams can harness his immense potential.

Personally I think it would be odd for Ainge to try to spend money on a 2nd rounder. Both Jabari Bird and Kadeem Allen did very well in the D League last year. I'm not sure you can expect to do much better here. Giving Kadeem another year to develop for free might be wiser. On the other hand....having an extra guy on hand to compete if Kyrie is still hurt and Smart doesn't come back might be a good idea too. But there are always undrafted guys and guys overseas
