We might be on the verge of acquiring Kawhi Leonard.
Or we might be on the verge of standing pat and not doing anything major this offseason.
Either way, we win. And either way, we are Finals bound.
What an incredible situation we are in!

Absolutely! The Celtics are in great shape. They can stand pat and add 2 all stars and a very, very good role player to a team that was one win away from the finals. Or they can make a move for Kawhi and add another all star. I personally want them to stand pat and maybe just tinker with the bench a bit if anything.

I’m beginning to think that the Lakers are not going to trade for Kawhi. Why trade for him if they feel they can get him as a free agent next year.
And with that possibility looming, Ainge will most likely offer a lesser package.
Maybe we can get Kawhi for less than we’re expecting.

I’m beginning to think that the Lakers are not going to trade for Kawhi. Why trade for him if they feel they can get him as a free agent next year. And with that possibility looming, Ainge will most likely offer a lesser package. Maybe we can get Kawhi for less than we’re expecting. Lesser is still not worth it if he walks. And the Lakers may be pressed to trade for him because Lebron and PG13 are FAs this year. |

And the Lakers may be pressed to trade for him because Lebron and PG13 are FAs this year. Because it is a gamble both ways, if we can get Kawhi for $0.70 on the dollar, it could turn out to be another win for Ainge. Say we don’t give away Jaylen, but lose Rozier, Smart, fillers and picks — it’s worth the gamble because winning a championship and seeing how this team and Brad Stevens, and the organization are all wonderful, and hiw we have a chance at a dynasty, it’ll be pretty hard to walk away from that. |
