Let's say Mo Bamba(or any prospect you dig) is available at [HASH]9. Let's say NYK offers the [HASH]9, Frank N, Krisnaps, and Joakim Noah's garbage pile contract for Kyrie, Marcus Morris and our [HASH]27 pick. Do you pull the trigger?

I wouldn't make it. I'd rather see Kyrie and Hayward make a run this season. I don't see New York making that deal though. They have heard the rumors about Kyrie maybe leaving Boston next season for NY and they can keep Porzingis and get Kyrie next season (at least in theory).

Nope, pass for me. Kristaps gets injured too often. The [HASH]9 spot is too far away from the cream of the crop of prospects (doubt Bamba lasts that long). I'm not sold on Frank Ntilikina. I'd take a chance on Isaac Bonga in the 2nd round if I wanted someone like Frank.
Plus we have to give up Kyrie and the 27th pick AND take on Joakim Noah's 2 year 37 mil contract? Oh man, I can't hang up the phone fast enough.

But the tides can change if i believe Bamba will be THE dominant defensive force in the NBA.

I value Krisnaps way more than Bamba in that scenario. Krisnaps is the prototype unicorn that teams are drooling over. His injuries are scary, but to me so are Kyrie's. Krisnaps has missed 20 games per season so far. Kyrie has averaged 16. Both are concerning. And for me I'd do this trade with the hope that Bamba works out, because if he did, we'd have a war chest to go after Giannis or AD if they become available. And we'd still be competing for the title next year. It's crazy. The C's are in such good shape right now.

When we were rumored to be after Porzingis, I remember reading that he's going to chronically be injured throughout his career, being how tall of a human being he is. I don't want to take that chance.

I don't want to take that chance. That's why he'd be the centerpiece of a trade for Giannis . I'm betting that if Milwaukee flounders next year he'll be itching to leave. We offer: Krisnaps Rozier Sac 2019 LAC 2019 I don't see many teams trumping that offer. One note about that hypothetical deal, I'd only do it if we get Joakim in for a physical and it appears he could take over Baynes' role on the team. Because with that deal, I don't think we could resign Baynes without going over the luxury tax. And because of all the implications that come with getting into repeater tax territory, the C's need to do everything they can to wait until next year to delve into the luxury tax.

And while we're in fantasy land, look at that team we've assembled.
Frank N Jaylen Tatum Giannis Big Al
With Smart, Hayward(!) and Bamba off the bench! Eventually Bamba supplants Big Al and we'd have a superlong, superfreak team that would be a monster on D, and we'd be surrounding Giannis guys that can stroke the 3. Plus, we'd still hold that MEM pick, which could turn very valuable.

Anyone know how accurate Adam Jones on 98.5 is? Or how well connected he is?
This is from James Stewart:
The Dark Knight @adamjones985 mentioned this the other night and I find it interesting. The Celtics are still big game hunting. They still want Davis, Leonard and they're trying to move into the top 5 of the draft. I believe their target, as I said a few weeks ago is Luka Doncic.
I just don't buy it. Doubt this will ever happen. Making one of it happen isn't likely -- attempting to go for all 3? That's just nuts.
