Obviously, the Warriors are a tremendous and talented group of players. Most good teams look foolish against them. But we, under Brad Stevens, have proven we can beat them.
Watching them ridicule the Cavs, name just a few things we'll need to do in order to beat the Warriors in a seven game series.
For me, the [HASH]1 thing is to not let them control their offense. We need to disrupt their timing, make them take shots out of their comfort zone, and just dictate the tempo with ugly and physical defense. They are a finesse team and once they get into their groove, they'll pour out 20 pts in under a minute. We can't let that happen. We've got to be the aggressors by bumping them and pushing them.

Well, the first thing we need to do is shoot better. They are so good on offense that you have to be able to score pretty well yourself to stay with them. Making them take shots out of their comfort zone sounds logical, but the problem is that Curry's comfort zone is anything over half court, and Thompson and Durant aren't far behind. I actually think our style of D, and our defensive personnel, particularly when Al plays center, is well-matched to the task of making things as hard on GS as it's possible to make it. But if we can't knock shots down it wouldn't matter. Fortunately we are going to have a pretty darn good shooting squad next year ourselves. I think if we don't make any changes, everyone comes back 100% healthy, and our young guys continue improving rapidly, we would give them a competitive series.

Perimeter defense, and attacking the weak link on defense. I think BOS would match-up better with GS this year, than CLE.

What Houston showed me is that you have a chance at winning a series against GS with tough physical defense. They came short because their offense was hideous. But without the defense, they'd be blown out from the getgo. But that's not to say scoring comes in a distant second place. Nope, if defense is 1a, then scoring the ball efficiently is 1b.

What piece(s) do you guys think we are missing? Whether it be a specific position, or a specific player.

IMO a rim protector/rebounder because Al is a terrible rebounder and needs to play the 4. We have everything else we need with maybe the exception of maybe a bench F/PF who can shoot, but I think we have enough scoring to survive without that piece, IMO a big is all we need to complete this team.

Anthony Davis would be the ideal thing (in a magical world where we lose nothing and cap doesn't matter) or whatever lesser (or much lesser) version we could get.

Yeah, he might be that dream girl we'll never have. But I'm looking at Karl Anthony Towns as a terrific consolation. If there's rumbling going on in Minnesota, we need to pounce.

Houston has firepower too. But it's going to take good ol smash mouth defense to frazzle this Warriors team.

Yeah, we're pretty good on the perimeter. But I do hope we get better on the interior.

GS is beatable, however you can't give them games. CLE gave them game [HASH]1. Hill, 83% FT missed a critical FT; Smith, whatever you call that; L James gave up in OT.
