With the draft lottery coming this Tuesday, we have a small chance at landing the 2nd or 3rd pick.
In the event that it actually does happen, who do we draft, or what do we do with that pick?

I think Ayton is the better player, but I think Bagley is the better fit. With so many scorers on our team, its not that we’re desperate for more. But Bagley is the kind of player who gets offensive rebounds, as well as makes himself available for interior passes and lobs, and that’s how he gets the bulk of his points.
He’s an aggressive rebounder (which we need more of), a big man who can switch on defense, who can hamdle the ball and lead breaks, and has some ability shooting the ball. Perfect fit for Brad’s system.

I think we'd want Doncic

What I’ve been reading is PHO, who could likely be getting the #1, will take Doncic, after hiring their new head coach, Kokoskov (who has ties with Doncic).

You know what, the NBA is rigged anyways (just kidding, maybe?) and as the Warriors will sit pretty on the West for the next 5 years, and seeing how Lebron and his Cavs are weakening year by year, Adam Silver needs an Eastern Conference team to emerge as a contender to battle the Warriors to sell tickets and keep up the television ratings.
We’ve become that darling team, with a squeeky clean head coach, and a bunch of young players fans can cheer for.
I say we’re going to end up with the 2nd or 3rd pick, cause that’s what the NBA wants.

We’re not getting a top 3 pick this draft. Oh well, we weren’t banking on it anyways.
It must be hard being a Magic fan. Every year a bad team, but never bad enough to get the #1 (but then again, they did have Shaq, and Penny, and Dwight Howard).

Phoenix wins the [HASH]1 pick. I say they grab Doncic because of his connection with new head coach, Kokoskov. But Ayton, being a Wildcat, is another logical choice.

Bad news: no [HASH]2 or [HASH]3 pick for us Good news: Sixers don't get another [HASH]1 pick. Bad news: Kings get [HASH]2 pick and might not be as bad as we hoped next year.
I always hear that big men take longer to adapt to the NBA and we can hope that's true if the Kings draft one.

I think the Kings are still in the mix for bottom 5 next year. They have too many young players who aren’t polished enough, and have flaws in their games to make the jump out of the bottom dwellers.
Only problem (if we want to call it that) is next year’s draft is wing heavy — exactly where we are the strongest positionally.

My first reaction to that was...Danny will trade the pick to get us help. But with the salaries maxing out for us...and needing to extend Kyrie as well as others...expensive veteran help isn't ideal. I'd keep and go with a prospect big man. There will always be a good one worth looking at closely.

I'm sure there are many big men whose names we just aren't familiar with right now, who Ainge and crew might be targeting.
Among the known ones who may be available at 27 are Omari Spellman, Moritz Wagner, Jontay Porter, Mitchell Robinson, Brandon McCoy, and Chimezie Metu.
But with the emphasis on 1) defensive versatility, 2) offensive versatility, and 3) blue collar mentality, I think we can eliminate a few of those names.

SAC has never won the first selection in the lottery. I hope next year this does not change.
