Jayson Tatum, our fabulous rookie, is turning heads and breaking records. He is now the youngest player in NBA history to score 20 or more points in 4 consecutive games, besting his idol Kobe Bryant.
Really amazing how composed and ready he is to be in the limelight. The pressure is not getting to him at all.

When people say maybe we should trade him I gag Yeah, tough for me to give up Tatum, or Jaylen for that matter. I mean, neither is untouchable, but the trade would have to be a no-brainer. I'm still trying to get a feel for what Tatum's ceiling is going to be -- he can do damage from all 3 levels (attacking the basket, midrange, 3 pt). He can also isolate with his back to the basket (and we really have yet to see this part of his game in live action), take his man off the dribble, as well as play efficiently off the ball. Really, a complete offensive player.

I want to see him develop his left hand - at least for layups - and get stronger. He loses the ball too often on drives to the hoop. But those are quibbles. He's amazingly far along for a guy his age. Next year I hope we see a little more of his post-up game. He's got long arms and good feet and I'd love to have McHale work with him. And he has pretty good vision and passing skills so he should be able to make teams pay if they double him.

I agree that seeing people want to trade him is gag worthy. His ceiling is super star level. I'd also love to see McHale work with him as I see some of McHale's moves in him from time to time when he goes to the hoop.
The 2 Jays will be a fantastic duo for years to come. They are both going to be stars. Danny needs to keep them both.
Most of the trade scenarios I have seen involving these two include Kawhi Leonard. I personally don't want a player who quit on his team and is that moody. Give me these two young guys who work hard and want to be out there with their team every minute.

I'm sticking to this for now.....keeping the Jays together is as close as we will ever get to prime Grant Hill and TMac together

But if there’s a bit of doubt among them, we’d at least have to entertain the idea of trading for Kawhi, or AD.

I’m thinking there’s something fishy going on with the Spurs org that we’re not being told. What’s happened to Kawhi, and what we’re being told from the media doesn’t make sense. Kawhi wouldn’t sabotage his future and his career without a legit reason. We’re just not being allowed to hear his side of the story.

Tatum now breaks the Celtics' record for most consecutive 20+ points in the playoffs by a rookie, set by Bird -- Jayson now has 5.
The NBA record is being set by Donovan Mitchell, who now has 7 consecutive games, and still going.
Donovan and Tatum are both rookies, but Mitchell is over a year and a half older than Tatum. Tatum has the ongoing record for youngest player to score 20+ pts consecutively in the playoffs.
Had 24 pts in today's game, and we needed every one of it.

Tatum seems to be getting better each game too. Imagine what he'll be if he improves as much as Jaylen did between years one and two.

Tatum is one of only 6 players in the history of the game to score 300+ points in the playoffs, as a rookie.
Congratulations on yet another milestone.
Oh, and he made the All-Rookie First Team. Well deserved.
