Going back to the Milwaukee series, we went up 2 - 0 in dominant fashion, and lots of folks were saying it (the series) was over. Well, we ended up having to go to Game 7 to finish them off. We're in the same position again, up 2 - 0 against Philly, and again folks are looking at the series as a cakewalk -- maybe they're not saying it like that, but they're taking the Sixers lightly. We haven't won a road game yet, and as Milwaukee showed, we can be exposed defensively, and offensively we can go through scoring droughts. I'm just going to temper my excitement, and not think we've arrived yet. BUT WE"RE GETTING CLOSE !!!!!

Basketball is a game of match-ups. MIL had 2 consistent scorers, and their length caused issues penetrating the paint. PHI has had 1 consistent scorer. I am excited, however PHI will be a hostile environment.

I am excited, however PHI will be a hostile environment. The Bucks presented a different kind of challenge for us. They were just long all over the court. Philly is more about fast pace and 3 pt barrages, plus Embiid inside. It might turn out that Milwaukee was the tougher matchup for us.

I just watched the Pelicans dismantle the Warriors at home after going down 0-2 in blow outs on the road so you never know. I know that young players struggle on the road and get rattled by opposing crowds. Both of these teams are young but the Celtics do have some strong vets who can help to keep the young guys grounded.
Also, the Sixers young guys will play much better at home with their own fans cheering them on after being rattled by the Celtics loud and rowdy fans so the Celtics will need to play even better in this game to get a win.

Ok, it's not over till the fat lady sings, but she is warming up her vocals backstage at the moment.
The Sixers now have to win 4 straight, including 2 on our homecourt (where we haven't yet lost a game in this year's playoffs).

There's always a first time (see Red Sox/Yankees in '04) but it doesn't look good for Philly. Tommy was saying post-game that how the Sixers come out for Game 4 will tell a lot about how competitive they are. Do they really want to go back to Boston, or do they pack it in and go fishing?
