I was re-watching the highlights today. PHI was perplexed on defense, because BOS kept on attacking the weak link, then Embiid was forced to either leave the paint, or allow BOS 5 (C) an open shot.

C's looked so good in this game. can't expect them to shoot that well all the time, but man they looked good. Al Horford is great. Dude plays winning basketball. Doesn't care about stats in the slightest. But when needed, can put up a monster stat line. That Marcus Smart offensive rebound against Embiid was amazing. Dude is a warrior. I hope in the future we can have a rotation where Smart plays 20 or so minutes a game. enough time to drive the other team bananas, but not enough time to jack up 10 bad shots a game lol If Semi can master the baseline 3 he is gonna be a great 3 and D player Man, depending on what price we can lock Rozier down for, I'd definitely entertain the idea of trading Kyrie. Rozier is a two way monster. he's never gonna be a 25ppg guy like Kyrie, but with this roster i dont know if that's gonna be necessary. We shall see. Rozier definitely is turning heads. For however many more games we'll play this postseason, i want Terry to be consistently scoring in the 20's -- that'll tell me he's for real.

His number of attempts per game is usually the same, however his makes are up & down.

A few thoughts on the Sixers' "core".
Embiid is a helluva offensive player, but he's not particularly quick. Two plays in the fourth qtr come to mind. TR blowing past him and then Al doing the same. And furthermore, I think we can get Embiid into foul trouble as he tries to block everything and winds up off balance. Head fakes and ball fakes will get him off the ground.
Simmons is an even worse shooter than I thought. Keep him out of the paint and he can't score at all. He'll destroy teams that don't play D, but he showed no ability to attack a good D that gets back and dares him to shoot. Plus, he cares about the wrong stuff, like who's the rookie of the year.
Fultz is still talking about how he earned the right to be the number 1 pick in the draft. Hello, you're a pro now and no one cares about that unless you wind up becoming a bust.
Neither Simmons nor Fultz were winners in college and if I were a Sixer fan I'd be concerned about the mindset of these guys.

Embiid is quick on offense (quite nimble and agile, and shows a quick first step for a 7 footer), but yeah, on defense, he's a step slow. Probably doesn't have great anticipation. Ben Simmons loves to attack and get guys back peddling -- but when defenders are away to stay in front of him, he's either passing it out, or attempting floaters. Fultz might be a headcase, like mentally fragile. Something about him doesn't add up. On the other hand, we've drafted Jaylen Brown, Jayson Tatum, Terry Rozier, etc. More complete players with less glaring weaknesses than their Philly counterparts.

When you look at teams that win championships, they usually have to persevere through tough situations on their way to winning. Mental toughness is a skill. So is being able to perform under pressure. I'm not sure how much either one can be taught. Danny may be ahead of most GMs in valuing the mental character of potential draftees.

The Bulls had to endure constant defeats at the hand of the Pistons and Bird's Celtics teams, until they were finally able to break through. But that hardened and toughened them up.
Going 7 games against the Bucks gave our young guys opportunity to test their mental toughness.
Challenging themselves to win a playoff road game in a hostile environment will strengthen their mental toughness.
