There have been a few exceptions, but for the most part the ball movement has been great. And Philly's D isn't impressing me at all. Maybe they're just rusty, but Milwaukee played with a lot more intensity. Philly had an easier schedule heading into the playoffs, and the Heat is not a good team. So maybe they looked better than they really are. Much like what Brad said about us when we had a 16 game win streak early in the year -- we looked better than we actually were.

Wow, ok, we know Rozier is not THIS good -- but he is tonight!!

I don't think our guys got the memo that we weren't supposed to be this good without Kyrie, without Hayward, and now Jaylen.

I'm really impressed by this team. It's just amazing how guy after guy goes down and every time someone else steps up.
I want to enjoy this ride as much as possible in the moment, but I find myself already looking forward to next year when we have everyone healthy. Good luck trying to defend that offense.

Brad made a comment during an in-game interview that was something like "we're not giving up threes" - which I take to mean that he's decided that he's not willing to double Embiid and by so-doing leave a shooter open behind the arc. And if guys like Bellinelli and Ilyasova aren't left wide open, they are no threat to score. It reminds me of the old Celtic strategy against Wilt's teams. Let Wilt score 40 but don't let the other guys beat you.
Terry is going to be harder and harder to stop, the more of these games he has. The more confident he is, the freer he plays, and the freer he plays the better he plays - which just gives him even more confidence. It's great to see him doing this in front of a national audience.

That is also the defense that we will use if Cleveland survives against the Raptors. Indiana played that defense against them well, but poor coaching and Olidipo disappearing cost them the series. As for tonight it was a great team win as we exposed Simmons for his inability to be a threat on the perimeter. I loved just about everything about this game and how it was played except for when Smart tried to shoot them back into the game by taking 5 straight shots as it was previously mentioned, but then he gets the 3 point play later which is all true heart. I think if we can win Game 2 it will put them into panic mode since they have never been punched in the face before and had to come back in a series.

Great win. I had a really uneasy feeling with Brown out that BOS would run out of gas. Stevens out coached B Brown. Embiid was good, just not efficient and PHI couldn't hit a 3. The difference in the game was from 3-point land.

Great win and big efforts by Al, T-ro and Tatum! Hopefully we get Brown back on Thursday (good timing for the extra day off) and we can go to Philly up 2-0. Interesting to see what Philly will do if they have to play catch-up. Most of their winning streak to end the year came against lottery teams, and though Miami stole one game they were never in control.

Gotta temper expectations, that game went perfectly for us: Philly cold from 3 while we were hot from 3. I'm not sure this tells us much. If we can win Game 2 with Philly making adjustments and bringing better shooting/energy then I'll start getting very, very excited. I do think we matchup well which means Stevens will have a field day exploiting weaknesses because Simmons is even worse than I thought at shooting. He doesn't even try to shoot - reminds me of young Rondo. That'll helps us lock down defensively.

I can see them posting Simmons on the low blocks more, and keeping Embiid out on the perimeter.

Simmons, and Embiid looked frustrated last night. I thought it was great to see the legendary Bill Russell in the Garden (showing his support).

It was great to see the Celtics defense back for this game. They let it slip for most of the Bucks series. Great defense and as so often happens, the defense fueled the offense.
Hopefully they don't get complacent by the fairly easy win. The Sixers will be ready for them on Thursday and they will need to play even harder to get past them.
I hope the Garden crowd is ready after Embiid and Simmons both said they weren't impressed with the crowd and that Philly has louder fans.

C's looked so good in this game. can't expect them to shoot that well all the time, but man they looked good.
Al Horford is great. Dude plays winning basketball. Doesn't care about stats in the slightest. But when needed, can put up a monster stat line.
That Marcus Smart offensive rebound against Embiid was amazing. Dude is a warrior. I hope in the future we can have a rotation where Smart plays 20 or so minutes a game. enough time to drive the other team bananas, but not enough time to jack up 10 bad shots a game lol
If Semi can master the baseline 3 he is gonna be a great 3 and D player
Man, depending on what price we can lock Rozier down for, I'd definitely entertain the idea of trading Kyrie. Rozier is a two way monster. he's never gonna be a 25ppg guy like Kyrie, but with this roster i dont know if that's gonna be necessary. We shall see.
