Per the team and Kyrie's Instagram, he has an infection on one of the screws in his knee, so the doctors will remove both screws. They are still saying the knee is structurally sound so long term prognosis is still good.
That means virtually no chance at the NBA finals, but on the other hand we are now playing with house money and, depending on match ups we may be able to sneak into the ECF.

Well it was a fun season in spite of the devastating injuries which is why Brad is COY.

Alert: It's a WOJ bomb!
Anyway, I expect BOS to advance versus the East, except CLE and TOR. Tatum-Horford-Brown-T Rex III is a solid starting 4, and Morris-Monroe-Smart(?) is a solid bench, however a lot of things have to go right, and beating either team 4-games out of 7 would be a daunting task.

Yeah, no pressure now. It'll still be fun watching the young core plus Horford, Morris and Monroe battle it out. Brown, Tatum and Rozier will be getting invaluable experience playing big minutes in the playoffs that they might not have had Hayward and Irving not gone down.
I'm not worried about Kyrie's knee at all. The problem isn't with the knee's structure as much as it is with the mechanical fixes they used to put his kneecap back together a few years ago. Now that it's healed, and all the extra hardware they put in there is removed, there should be little reason for concern.
We're gonna need a fully healthy TR3 for the first round as he is going to have to play a lot.

What if he really is damaged goods? What if Hayward never returns to form? That is two max contracts tied up.
