I don't think this question has made it onto our board yet, so let me pose the question.
If Anthony Davis can be had after this season (for whatever reason, but let's just say the Pelicans' management lost their mind), would you be willing to trade away Jaylen and Jayson? Or neither -- you'd prefer holding onto them because you think our future is brighter with both young men on our team? Or if you would, but only if you could hang on to one of them, which one would you pick?

I would need to see more of Davis than I have to answer for sure, but I do have a couple of thoughts.
Two weeks ago I would have said that Tatum had a higher upside than Brown, even given Brown's superior athleticism. Jaylen had shown an improved shot, but he still seemed a little out of control at times, or at least always on the verge of being out of control. But in the last couple of weeks, and particularly the last 4 games or so, Jaylen has taken huge steps toward convincing me that he's going to be a star, and on both ends of the court. He's shooting the outside shot with confidence and with results, while also being much more under control on his drives. He starting to use change of pace and direction instead of just trying to jump over people and he's been a lot more effective.
Meanwhile, speaking of huge steps, Tatum can be at a dead stop at the foul line, take one giant step and reach out toward the hoop for near layup. He's deadly in the 15-20 foot range and hitting almost half his shots from deep. Watching him in the first quarter of the Orlando game, I thought he could easily become a 25-30 point scorer in this league. And when you watch him play D you forget he's a rookie.
Our guys could both become All-Stars, and it would take an awful lot to trade them both. My inclination right now would be to say no. Would I trade one of them for Davis? Probably. But I don't see that offer being made by N.O.

I think we'll be causing a problem for ourselves. Not necessarily a bad one. But both Horford and Davis - whilst listed as big men who play the 5 spot - are the best version of themselves when playing the 4 spot. Therefore logically speaking, you wouldn't want to have two max guys playing less than their maximum potential. So if we wanted to do crazy scenarios where management loses their mind, Karl Anthony-Towns would be the ideal guy for us.
That said, is Tatum + Brown equivalent to the value of Davis? We'd be winning that trade hands down simply based on raw value without thinking about fit.

I say we keep both and get Davis as well...you just never know what robbery Danny can cook up.

That'll be great if he can pull it off. But if not Jaylen and Tatum, then it'll most likely be Kyrie, or a combination of Horford and Hayward (if not both).

Nope. I think Tatum and Jaylen are our chance to see what prime Grant Hill and TMac in Orlando could have looked like. I think it would have looked a lot like Jordan/Pippen

I voted "no." Horford would have to be packaged to make salaries work.
