Too bad we can't suit up 15 players. So many guys have looked good this preseason that it's tough to send them down.
So which 12 make the cut?

First, the obvious ones: Irving, Hayward, Horford, Brown, Tatum, Baynes, Morris, Smart, Rozier. That's 9.
From what I see, I think Theis is a cinch. That's 10.
That leaves Yabusele, Ojeleye, Larkin and Nader - of which 2 make the 12 man cut at any given time. I think Yabusele has the best chance of actually seeing a decent amount of playing time this year, as we're short of beefy guys up front. He makes the cut. That's 11, leaving Ojeleye, Nader and Larkin to pick from.
*** Update: The number dressing apparently is 13 this year - at least according to a Danny Ainge quote this morning. So we could have one guy assigned to Portland (or just inactive) and everyone else (of the 14 with NBA contracts) dressing. Larkin has looked good handling the ball, but struggled shooting. Nader can score but hasn't shown me that much else. I think Ojeleye maybe has the most well-rounded game of the three. His deep shot looks effortless and he got some nice comments from Brad about his D. I think he's probably got the highest ceiling of the three, but all of them would benefit from playing time, so I expect all three to be Portland Red Claws at points this season - although I think Larkin would have to consent to being sent down.

Is that right? Well, that makes it easier then.
I agree with your first 10.
And being that Larkin left money on the table overseas to come play for us, I think he's among the 13.
Nader served his time in the D-League, did well, and quite frankly I think he's earned a spot. So that makes 12.
Now, between Yabusele and Ojeleye, like you said, these two may end up rotating in and out of Boston and Maine. But I can see Yabusele being the one to stick. His overall skill set is more unique and versatile.

I would keep Yabu, Oje active. Nader, or Larkin does not move the needle.

I would keep Yabu, Oje active. Nader, or Larkin does not move the needle. Nader gives us scoring depth, which is probably more needed on our bench than defense (defensively, we look good already). Plus, Nader served his time in the D-League like an obedient soldier. I would send Semi down to Maine, have him work on his offense so that they'll be more of a dual threat.
