What a mess this has become, and there's no guarantee that this trade doesn't fall through. I do hope the trade is consummated because it's for the better for the players involved. I'm thinking there will be hard feelings from Jae and Isaiah towards Ainge for trading them away -- Jae not only lost his mother to cancer, but on the same day, Danny traded him off the team. Isaiah gave his heart and soul for this team; playing after losing his little sister, playing after losing his teeth, playing hurt -- and then Ainge trades him away. I'm sure both players feel Ainge betrayed them.
It'll be awkward for them to return; and not only that, but to give 100% the way they used to. They know there's no loyalty to them, and they could be sent packing once again. We can always say it's a business, but you can never truly separate feelings from business. I'm sure Brad and Ainge will try to do damage control, and the Celtics players will try to sort through the emotions and get Jae and IT back into the huddle. But it won't be the same.
I just don't see a happy marriage if Jae and Isaiah return back to Boston. I think if this trade falls through, Ainge needs to immediately get on the phone and see where he can trade them to.
What do you guys think we should do if the trade is voided?

I am not worried about it because it won't be voided. Cleveland won't get a better deal, they are just trying to get one more piece out of the deal and it won't work because Danny doesn't fall for that stuff. If anything we may give them a non-lottery pick, which isn't a big deal.

I do believe that the centerpiece of this trade was the Nets' pick rather than IT anyway. The Cavs have Derrick Rose (who has been working out with LeBron this summer) and Calderon to play the point. IT would be a nice addition but he's not going to be the star of the team as he was in Boston.
They really like Jae and he is a big addition to their team. They are going to love his efforts in Cleveland. But, the Cavs really want that Nets' pick to give them a start on their rebuild should LeBron leave after this season - which most people feel he will do. That is the best pick they will be offered and I don't see them wanting to return it. For that reason, I think they will maybe take a second round pick or a non lottery pick to save face and Danny will be ok giving that up to complete the deal.
If it should fall through, the Celtics will have a mess on their hands because the chemistry will never be the same and Jae and Isaiah and maybe even Zizic will be disgruntled and it won't be good. I really feel for Isaiah though because this was supposed to be his big payoff year after all the work he put in to get here. Now, instead it's all about his injury making him less valuable.

If the deal gets voided, BOS takes back the Nets pick.
