I heard it, but I don't comprehend it. How can a 6'3" Kyrie be just as bad as a 5'8" IT on defense?
Whatever the case may be, I'm pretty sure Brad Stevens won't shrug his shoulders and say, "oh well". No, he's going to demand it out of Kyrie to put more effort into his defense, and be where he needs to be.
And to Kyrie's credit, I think he is out to prove that he wasn't just Lebron's little brother -- he's focused to prove that he can lead a team to the title. So if defense is what it takes to make it happen, I believe Kyrie's going to be motivated to do it.
