Coach Brad was interviewed by Mannix, and in that conversation Brad Stevens talked about mixing up the lineups with his versatile roster.
He mentioned a combination of Hayward and Crowder a lot in these scenarios, such as when he throws out these lineups:
Hayward-Crowder-Morris Hayward-Crowder-Jaylen Hayward-Crowder-Tatum.
I take this to mean Hayward will see the bulk of his minutes at the 3 and 2, and Crowder will see his minutes at the 3 and 4. But both will be on the court together a lot.
Funny how things work out. Jae was upset when Celtics fans cheered for Hayward when Utah came to town last season -- and now they'll be joined together at the hip.

Stevens "system" focuses on players that can play multiple positions, and he is willing to experiment to make the system work. Unlike say NY, which Jackson forced the triangle, when few if any of his players could actually play.

so much for this thread.
Marcus Morris probably takes most of Crowder's minutes, at least initially. Tatum, Yabusele, Ojeleye and Theis will get a chance for more minutes.

I've been watching clips of Semi Ojeleye and he plays a lot like Crowder but even more athletic. I think Ojeleye can be an even better version of Jae in time. He's an excellent defender and can hit the 3 and also get to the rim. I really hope he can adjust quickly.

Yeah, Ojeleye has more tools than Jae. Hopefully Semi can find his niche and roll with it. Like Crowder, he'll primarily be a 3-D player who can play the 3/4. But I think he's a better shooter than Jae, even though Jae shot a darn good % from 3's last season.
This might be one of the reasons that Jae was traded away. Not only do we have young players waiting for their chance to play, but Semi can possibly be Crowder's replacement.
