Celtics at max roster for training camp

The Celtics have 16 guaranteed contracts with the signing of Shane Larken.   One of those players will need to be cut before the season.

There is going to be some stiff competition in camp but one of these contracts must be cut. 

Along with the 16 guaranteed players, the Celtics have Kadeem Allen and Jabari Bird on 2-Way contracts and each of those will spend the majority of the year with the Red Claws but can play up to 45 days with the Celtics as well. 

They have also recently signed Daniel Dixon and Andrew White to partially guaranteed contracts for training camp.  They will probably be offered spots on the Red Claws after the preseason. 

That brings the team to the max of 20 players for the preseason. 

Who do you think is the guaranteed contract to be cut? Will it be Larkin or maybe Nader? My guess is that it will be one of those two.

I don't think it will be Nader, only because they gave him a 4 year contract this summer. I do think they like him a lot, despite our congestion at the forward spot.

If anyone, I think it is Larkin who goes. Danny is high on Terry Rozier (much like how high Danny was on Avery Bradley), and Smart has been a fixture in the lineup the past couple of seasons. Don't see Larkin getting much playing time as the 4th PG.

We can't forget that there's still the possibility of a trade or two before the season starts as well -- sending out multiple players and getting 1 back in return.

I voted Larkin, however if IT is not a "go", will have to reconsider.
