Today, I watched some highlights of a recent AAU game in Las Vegas. BBB vs. (whatever team Z Williams plays for).
A few comments: *AAU ball is like the polar opposite of the NBA. There is no structure, and players focus on aspects which do not promote development. *Zion Williams is big, and has a flashy dunk, however that is it. Anthony Bennett, Julius Randle. *LaMelo Ball can pass, and has some great close playground moves, however he is skinny and can not play defense. Sebastian Telfair.

Except, Zion Williamson, at a younger age, is a lot more developed and polished. By the team he enters the collegiate ranks, he'll be more advanced than Julius Randle and Anthony Bennet at what he's good at.
Yes, AAU ball is a digrace, and many pro players say the same thing. Kids are not being taught and coached to hone their basic skills and have a good fundamental foundation.

LaVar Ball gets called for a technical foul in the past 3 games.
1. Game 1 - pulls his team from the court; forfeit 2. Game 2 - can not do the above, because Williamson is in the house. 3. Game 3 - threatens to pull his team from the court; Adidas removes the ref; called for another technical; refs call the game.
AAU is like WWE (world wrestling entertainment.
