I'm curious what the main selling points were that Ainge and Brad presented to Hayward.
Obviously, winning had to be at the top (because it certainly wasn't money, or weather). How did they present it to Gordon that we had a better chance to win a title, moreso than Utah, who won two fewer games than us, even though they played in the much tougher Western conference.
More specifically, did Ainge tell Hayward his intentions, like which players he's targeting to further strengthen this roster?

My gut feeling tells me that Ainge didn't need to do a thing. Hayward knows that Coach would draw up the right plays for him just like he did when they went to the NCAA finals. Any basketball fan could see he was walking into the ideal situation for his stats to explode. Horford is a willing passer and IT draws double teams away from him. Then you have Bradley in the corner waiting for the 3 ball. He would have space to operate and wouldn't need to take as many shots to score even more points than he did last season. And people also forget that IT had some very decent assist numbers - 6 APG - and would have had more if the other guys could knock down shots...so IT is already a willing passer.

It could also be that Gordon saw what Coach Brad did with IT, turning him from a solid scorer, into the East's best scorer. Brad knows how to get the best out of his players, and Hayward knows Brad can take him to another level by putting him in great position to succeed even further.

Jaylen always impresses me as such a serious and thoughtful person. He was part of the pitch for Hayward at the Celtics new practice facility.

I am really excited. A multi-positional player, crunch time scorer who is still trending upwards.

Source confirms ESPN report that Celtics and Jazz are talking about a Hayward sign-and-trade involving Crowder. It better include a first round pick...7mil a year player who improves them defensively...maybe not as good as Hayward offensively but its 5x better than what they have now.

They're gonna need that pick to improve their team. And Exum is kinda expensive for a young guy so even if we sent them Rozier I just don't see much coming back to us

Ok, so what exactly is going on? There's no chance that this Gordon acquisition falls through, right? I mean, if the sign and trade doesn't happen, all Ainge needs to do is trade guys (Crowder, Smart, Rozier, etc) for 2nd round picks if need be, right (which I'm sure is the absolute last option)?
