I like Ryan Bowen. GO HAWKS! ! ! How bout MBlunt for Bowen? And cash and picks? How about Blount and Veal for a peanut butter sandwich? Bowen is having quite a game. he is really hustling out there. I would love to swap him for either blount or Veal. Both are next to useless out there.

Offensive foul on Anderson driving the lane. Boston missed the shot and rockets rebound. Bowen missed shot but Tmac swooped in for the put back. West traveled again. TMac went right to the basket for a layin. No defense. Celts miss at the other end and Houston rebounds. TMac goes to the basket and draws the foul. NOW Doc puts Perk in!! Tmac misses first. makes the second. Celts missed layup. Al gets the rebound and gets fouled. Misses the first. makes the second. Lead is 17.

Well, that was a thoroughly embarrassing loss being drubbed by a 4 and 12 basketball team that has little hope of doing anything this year.
Houston flat out kicked our !!!GREENIAC!!! tonight in every phase of the game.
Doc Rivers did an atrocious job with his substitutions.
Veterans all stunk and needed to be benched -
I'm not happy with this lottery bound team and make no mistake - that is where the Celtics are headed in 2006.

Head goes to the basket for a layup. Reed misses a 3 pointer. Houston gets the rebound. 24 second violation on Rockets. Dickau drives to the basket and draws the foul. Makes both free throws. (I think that is 100% for the year). Jeff fouls Swift on a drive to the basket. Swift misses 1st and makes the second. Our last shot gets blocked and Houston dribbles out the clock.
We came out flat and Houston outplayed us. Their defense was great and our offense was terrible. We didn't show the hustle needed to win. Our defense was terrible tonight. Doc should have put Perk in instead of Veal. He really was terrible tonight. Looked like he was moving through jello. Ricky had an off night and so did PP. That may have had something to do with the Defense that Houstion was playing on them.
Very disappointing loss.

I almost half expected this -- seems we don't play well vs bad teams. And I can't for the life of me figure out why Perkins and AJ get only 18 minutes each despite being the most effective big men we had tonight. Raef and Blount combined only had 4 rebounds and no blocks. Perk alone had 6 boards and a block and AJ has a double double, yet Doc wastes time with Scalabrini, Raef and Blount. IMO Doc is too hesitant to trust his younger players, even though they are more talented and productive down low than our "veterans" who have not lead us to many victories this year. If we are going to lose to last place teams with the veterans, we need to start developing the youth more. I am having serious doubts about Rivers.

In hindsight, you could tell this game was doomed from the very 1st quarter. Only Delonte was able to do what he wanted to do, while Pierce never got into the flow of the offense, and Ricky couldn't buy a bucket. Perkins managed grab some boards and get some putbacks, but Doc didn't let him play enough for us to really take advantage of his size. As a team in general, we never got it going. Players seemed sluggish and the energy and intensity just weren't there--like players had other things on their mind, aside from winning the game.
It got worse as the game progressed. HOU controlled the tempo the rest of the way and we allowed them to change our game. We were playing at a frantic pace the second half and just didn't execute our game plans. I couldn't watch the game in entirety--did a lot of fast forwarding.
We need a wakeup call right now. Doc needs to be drastic and play Perk 30 minutes (or as many minutes as Perk can play without fouling out) and Blount as least as possible. He needs to sit Raef (his shot has been non-existent and without his scoring touch, he's not doing much for us) and put in Jefferson into the starting rotation. Big Al came off a double double and looked pretty good going up against Juwan Howard and, at times, Yao Ming.
