We need a homerun with the BRK '18 pick

All has gone well so far with the prizes we've received through Brooklyn's drafts picks (wasn't that a nice thing Billy King did for us? What a good guy he is.). Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum have the goods to be our All-Star tandem.

But good things don't last, and we are coming up to our final draft pick from Brooklyn. And as good as Jaylen and Jayson could turn out to be, unfortunately they aren't the superstar talent we hoped to land with Brooklyn's picks.

So we come down to this final draft, and I feel there is a potential generational, transcendent, superstar prospect in it -- DeAndre Ayton. Others might say Porter is the one, or Luka Doncic; but Ayton is the guy for me.

If we land him, we'll have our future Big 3, them being Ayton, Jaylen and Jayson. Wow, that's a great future core we would have right there.

This is contingent upon us getting a top 2 pick. Cross your fingers and hope Brooklyn does poorly again this year, and we have the ping pong balls fall our way. We need this pick!!!

And if for some reason we are not able to land Paul George, that actually might be better for the future of the Celtics organization.

With 2 top picks in next year's draft, I salivate thinking about the possibility of landing Ayton and Luka Doncic!! Wow, that'll be insane if that happens!

Alot of fans look at the present, IT-Horford, however Danny is looking at this lineup, the future. The repeater tax will limit a team to sign (3) max players. Keep in mind, a second contract max player is different than a third. Teams that give out max contracts to fringe players will be limited.

Porter/Ayton/Donicic/Bamba - Any of those 2 would be solid for this roster.  Crazy to think that we have a competing roster along a youth movement that we are building at the same time. Definitely it's going to be exciting how the finish product will look in the next 3-5 years.
