We started off our extended road trip on a good note, winning against the Knicks at MSG.
Our next 5 games are:
@ Houston (4 - 12) @ Oklahoma City Hornets (8 - 8) @ San Antonio (13 - 3) @ Dallas (11 - 5) vs. Indiana (10 - 6)
**all records are current as of 12/5
Only Houston has a record under .500 and the last time we faced them, we buried them alive--but that was with a less than 100% T-Mac. The Hornets are playing surprisingly well, and a big reason is Chris Paul. David West is also giving them a big lift, as is JR Smith.
The Spurs, the Mavericks, and the Pacers will prove to be a big challenge. But if we can win the 1st two games, the confidence that will build from those wins can hopefully boost us high enough to play competitively against Tim Duncan and Co..
Any guess for the next 5 games? 5 - 0? 4 - 1? 3 - 2? 2 - 3? 1 - 4? 0 - 5?

I'll guess 2-3, as we finally broke through on the road but are still prone to inconsistency. The last three games will be tough, but we may steal one. On the flip side, we may lose one to Houston or NO/Okl.

Or we might lose one to HOU or the Hornets (Oklahoma City just doesn't roll off my tongue yet) and steal one from either SA, DAL, or IND.
2 - 3 might be the record that is realistic. But a 3 - 2 record would be a really positive sign.

Our next 5 games are:
@ Houston (4 - 12) @ Oklahoma City Hornets (8 - 8) @ San Antonio (13 - 3) @ Dallas (11 - 5) vs. Indiana (10 - 6)
Houston is very beatable if we don't think too much about the fact that we haven't won two in a row. We beat them handily the first game. If we can contain McGrady and Perk can avoid fouling out, we should be able to beat them.
Hornets is also one we can win. They have 5 players averaging in double figures and Chris Paul is a star in the making. We have to come out playing tough D from the start. This isn't a team we can sluff off of and then try to come back.
San Antonio will beat us. Too much to ask to get that monkey off our backs at this time. They are playing too well and we are too inconsistent.
I think Dallas will also be a loss. They have 6 players averaging double figures and are playing very strong at this time. We give away too much in the paint to this team.
Indy can go either way. They have been playing well but we seem to play well against them (other than last year's play offs). This is a toss up.
It could be 3-2 or 2-3 but with this group you never know. One game they come out like champions and the next like a high school team. Enough to give a Green Kool Aid Drinker like me fits!!!!

I say 2-3. Hate to say it, but 3 out of those 5 teams are better than us, plain and simple. Hopefully we win the games we should win, Houston, NO (very hungry team). Chris Paul will make Ainge wish he had a top 3 pick last year.

3-2 Hopefully
I should be able to beat Houston, OK, and Indiana. Dallas and SA have our numbers for years. I'll be estatic if we can we're above .500 after that stretch.

i predict we will lose all the games we are supposed to and lose one game we are supposed to win so that's 1-4. I don't think Doc is a much better coach than that.

2-3 is realistic/expected. 3-2 would be a reach.

We better get the one in Houston, because the next 4 games are miserable.
@oklahoma - this is a solid well rounded team that plays very well on its homecourt. We will really have to be on our game to beat them.
@san Antonio - Complete write-off
@dallas - Not likely unless RD, Pierce, and two others are on fire.
Indiana - they have not been going well, but I expect them to turn it around and hand it to us.
Of course, if the coaching staff grows some cajones and starts Perkins and Jefferson and we get our inside out game going, I think we are much better off.

Oh Yeah, we are who we are and I'll take anything over 1 and 4........
If 0 and 5 and Doc Rivers gets the heavo-ho, than that is goodness, too.

Of San Antonio, Dallas, and Indiana, which team do we have the best chance to steal a win from?
Winning against the Spurs, though certainly not remotely possible, would be a total shocker--but if we play a perfect game, there's a possiblity that we do the unthinkable.
Dallas is a really good team and they are playing defense this year. They have a number of offensive players, starting with Dirk Nowitzki, but so do we. Again, if we play a perfect game, we may actually pull this one off. The odds are better against the Mavs than it is against the Spurs.
Indiana is another tough team. They had our number in last year's playoff, even though they didn't have Jamaal Tinsley for the first couple of games, even though Jermaine O'Neal was playing with a bum shoulder, and even though they played without Ron Artest. Now, all three are back and healthy and they are even more dangerous.
A win against any of these 3 teams would be an enormous lift.

I don't think we could steal any of them at hom elet alone on their court unless maybe Duncan gets injured.
