Take your best guess, cause at this point, no one knows (not even Danny, most likely).
Will we ultimately trade our [HASH]3?

While I think that Danny will do his best to trade for either PG or Butler (or longshot Davis) I don't know as he's going to be able to swing a trade that is a good deal for the Celtics. So I'm thinking it will be like last season... He makes the pick and goes from there to free agency.
However, I do think there is a chance he trades down one more time. Maybe to 5 and 10 or possible to 4 if he can get some more picks out of it.

I say yes, because I think he can trade down to 4 or 5, and still get Tatum or Dennis Smith Jr, while getting assets.

Ok if yes includes trading down for another pick, then I say yes. I was thinking that trading it meant trading out of the draft for like a PG or Butler.

And it sounds like both Phoenix and Sacramento are trying to get our 3rd pick (I think both like Jackson).
Apparently, SAC doesn't want to trade away both 5 and 10 for the [HASH]3, and will want more than that in return.

I think we keep the pick, draft either Jackson or Tatum, and go from there. I do wonder though, with Jaylen and one of these guys, do we still go after any of the three guys we've heard most about - Butler, George or Hayward.
If the plan is to keep IT longterm, it seems this summer is the time for signing a big free agent. Once we re-up IT the salary cap won't allow us to.
Best guess: Draft Jackson, go after Hayward, hold onto all our assets.

If we're on the clock, and Adam Silver says, "with the 3rd pick in the 2017 NBA draft, the Boston Celtics select (long pause that feels like an eternity, with every Celtic fan holding their breath)........ De'Aaron Fox, I think we can expect a trade later in the evening. Maybe a trade with Sacramento who seem to want Fox.

Keep the 3rd...we need controllable young assets. IT will need a new contract and so will Bradley and Crowder if we keep them. That cap space is going to be crucial.

The problem is that those guys don't win you championships. Bradley are too limited offensively to be starters and IT's size limits his value. IT is the only one of the three that you can make a solid argument to be given a big payday because of his offense and he is the heart and soul of this team. Bradley and Crowder are mid level to just above type guys that we shouldn't overpay for.

I totally agree that those guys don't win championships. But depth does as we saw on the Cavs team..without depth they lost. Bench was pathetic without Lebron. I don't see Bradley or Crowder being max guys but you still need good defenders like them to guard against the likes of Curry or Klay etc. And to have that sort of starter who isn't a negative whilst on the court is still key to a championship. However we do need enough cap room to pay the likes of Horford, and another max player. Which subsequently limits the type of bench we can run onto the court...and a bench of talented top picks is better than the bargain bin that the Cavs had.
