It sure was nice to open ESPN.com and see this headline....
First-Place Celts Take Manhattan In a 102-99 nailbiter, the Boston Celtics held off the New York Knicks to move into a virtual first-place tie with the Philadelphia 76ers and the New Jersey Nets in the Atlantic.

Considering that we have yet to win more than one in a row, and we have yet to show any kind of consistency, the rest of the atlantic better prepare for when we start playing good basketball.
It certainly is nice to be tied for the top spot.
But we will be tested on the road and we'll have to wait and see how we come out. We got killed by the Spurs in the first matchup, and I'm interested to see how we play against them on Friday. I feel that we've improved since that last matchup.

NJ and philly below .500 w/o any injuries. That's not good for our division rep but it certainly helps the celtics who are 4-0 against atlantic division.

Anybody in the Titanic Division can win or finish in last place. Heck Toronto went into NJ and spanked them Saturday night. They have young talent like Chris Bosh who could break out just like Jefferson and Perkins can. I am impressed with the Bricks young talent. If they could trade that loser Marbury to somebody desperate, their chemistry would improve.

The issue w/ the Knicks is that the guards want to be the fire power in the offense, and all of Brown's teams have been the opposite..inside to out. If they get rid of Marbury, get rid of Crawford as well.

Imagine how much better we'd be if Tony Allen and Marcus Banks weren't injured. These 2 guys played a big part on last year's team and Tony was supposedly much improved before his injury. Doc predicted that Allen would have a breakout season and I do believe he has the ability to have a major role with this team. Marcus was our catalyst last year and his offense off the bench really ignited our second unit (along with Ricky). Our bench is not scoring so far this season, and Banks could have carved a niche for himself here.
