Woj says we are after Griffin -- nothing new, we've heard this before.
So let's think about this again, cause this time it may happen. What are the pros and cons of adding Blake?
Pros:
Highly skilled - pairing him with Horford will give us 2 highly skilled, smart big men who know how to pass and score from all over the court Strong and fairly nimble, mobile - he could be a help defensively, staying in front of big men who like to move Rebounding ability
Cons:
Injury prone Could continue on a downward slope athleticially Will cost us a lot of money

He hasn't been near the player that he was before the knee injuries. He's also pouted at times and seems more me oriented than team oriented. I've never been a big fan of his.

Way too many injuries for Blake. Let Doc keep him

I don't know if Doc wants to keep him. I mean, if it's true that CP3 could be heading for San Antonio, the Clippers are going to go back to being irrelevant team.

I still think it is funny that Doc left because he didn't want to be a part of a rebuilding franchise. Since Doc left Boston they have been to 1 Conference Final, Doc zero.

And to make matters worse, the Clippers brought in the great Jerry West to advise them. Guess they didn't think Doc alone was enough. And as you said, we've already had a massive turn around in just a short amount of time, and we're adding great young talent every year. Doc could be on the hot seat soon, I'd imagine.

It was probably a bad decision to make Doc GM and coach. I think it's good for a team to have two heads together to make player decisions. I've never been big on Doc the coach but I'm even less impressed by Doc the GM.

I've never been big on Doc the coach but I'm even less impressed by Doc the GM. I like him as a person, but agree that he isn't a very good coach and even worse GM. He was at the right place at the right time in Boston. Other than that, he hasn't been anything special as a HC. My biggest complaint while he was in Boston was his rotations as some of them were rather bazar and cost us some playoff games.

Part of what I disliked about Doc as head coach was one time early in his tenure as head coach in Boston he made a statement that he didn't work on defense in practice because when you are working on the offense, naturally half the team was playing defense. The Celtics had good defense because of Thibideau and KG and not Doc. He also played the vets into the ground and didn't develop the young guys much at all.

Griffin would solve (2) glaring issues: scoring, and rebounding.
On a side note, I think Doc is a good coach, however bad GM. Can not think of a recent dual coach/GM. note - RC Buford is the GM of SAN, not POP however the media always credits GM decisions to POP, not Buford.

I don't think he's a great coach, and for sure I don't think much of him as a GM (no wonder he and Danny butt heads so much about personnel issues). But I do like him as a players' coach.

Far too injury prone which is a big worry if we plan to go deep in the playoffs.
