Danny is listening to offers for the top pick.
Let's say 2 things are possibilities:
1) Danny gets an offer from a team who offers us a high lottery 2) Danny has other draftees he's really excited about
Whether it's Philly who offers us the [HASH]3 and a future 1st, or Sacramento who offers us [HASH]5 and [HASH]10, let's say Ainge likes either one of those -- does he hit the accept button?
With the [HASH]3 pick, he could take Josh Jackson, and we know Danny likes future firsts (especially if that pick could be another lottery pick).
Or maybe Danny is enamored with Dennis Smith, Jr., and sees him as a future All-Star. And the [HASH]10 could net us another solid piece to build our young team with.
Would these be the trade offers Danny would most likely accept?

I'd say he'd better be darn sure about whatever move he makes involving that [HASH]1 pick. In any of these scenarios we are giving up the best piece. Trade one piece for several lesser pieces rarely pays off. That sacto trade does nothing for me. I'd maybe think about that Philly trade, but I still would have a hard time pulling the trigger. Fultz is the real deal, and you don't give that up lightly.

The only way we trade the [HASH]1 pick is for a superstar as there is no way we trade it for lesser unknown assets. We were fortunate to get this pick and it makes no sense what so ever to me to trade it unless you get someone who puts us close or guarantee's us at least an Eastern Conference Championship and I don't see that trade out there. So IMO we keep the pick unless someone gives us a offer that Danny can't refuse.

I don't like trading down in the draft because from what I've read, Fultz stands out above everyone else. He may have a few little faults but his talent and his upside seem to be on another level from even the 2nd best prospect. I think the only thing Danny trades [HASH]1 for is a proven talent who can take them to the next level right now, not another prospect. I admit that I haven't watched much college ball but from what I read, the draft is deep but that Fultz is way above everyone else. Like afceltic, I don't see that trade out there, especially since the Cavs and Warriors will more than likely be at the top again next season. That gives us a season to improve all of our young guys and integrate whichever free agent the Celtics pick up this summer (if they indeed do get one). I think we again contend next season but then have a good chance to win it the season after. Although winning [HASH]18 in '18 has a nice ring to it

Keep the pick! Unless you get a top 10 player out of it doesn't make sense to give up the pick for tier 3/4 talent especially you have the rights to take the best player in the entire draft. I don't believe he'll make a trade it's more media coming up with stories and Ainge doing his due diligence to see what's on the market.

There are a couple of ways I would trade the [HASH]1. Obviously, one is if we can get an already established young superstar, which isn't likely to happen.
The other way is if I'm extremely confident that I can grab 2 star potential players at [HASH]5 and [HASH]10. And when I hear that Fultz may not care so much about winning, I put more weight and thought into this option.
(Now, if this isn't true about Fultz's character, then I only trade him if we can get a superstar).
If [HASH]5 and [HASH]10 can net me 2 guys who have high level basketball skills, and guys who are bull dogs who fight hard for victories, I'm tempted to trade Fultz (who may not have the pitbull mentality, but more like a poodle).
I'm not saying these 2 guys are it, but as an example, at 5, I take Zach Collins, and at 10 I take Donovan Mitchell.
Both of these guys have skill and heart, could become terrific starters on a contending team, and best of all, they're warriors. Pairing them with Jaylen Brown will give us 3 men who fight hard and are skilled players.

I would rather take SAC package of 5th/10th pick + WCS to Indiana in return for PG. Personally, both of those picks are not a fair value for the 1st pick but, if we can turn around to do an 3-way trade to get the star then it would make sense to move the 1st pick.
I mean some of the later guys in the draft could be competitive players but, are we just adding quantity that's required to trade for a top 10 player?

I'm just hoping that Fultz isn't a nonchalant character who doesn't mind losing. I hope not because I want him to be our pick.

Depends. Let's start with this question: what if Fultz was not in the draft, who would Danny select with the [HASH]1 selection?

I'm willing to talk to Philly or whoever about trading the [HASH]1, but I need to hear some names like Ben Simmons in this conversation. I'm not saying Simmons straight up or whatnot but I'll put some Crowder or Avery on the line. But still

I don't know as Philly will part with either Simmons or Embiid. They may move Okafor or Saric, but those two players aren't worth the [HASH]1 pick, even with the [HASH]3 pick coming back, unless they sweeten the deal somewhat.

If his shooting can become more accurate, he could be dangerous.

If the Sixers got Josh Jackson and offered him and Jahil and maybe a 2018 unprotected or Ben Simmons I'd maybe send them [HASH]1 and something like Avery...maybe
