Still cloudy for the Sixers.
Heading into this season, Embiid is still on minutes restriction, and rightfully so. Can't trust with his injury history. Their best player is fragile.
Then they have Simmons, who is an incredible passer, and a mismatch at his height. But don't count on him hitting big shots in close games. Not only has he not shown "mamba" mentality, but his perimeter shooting is not good either. He's another questionable cornerstone piece.
Then you have Markelle Fultz, who either has a shoulder injury that is bothering him so much that he's had to alter his shooting mechanics to compensate, or he's got a psychological problem and now he's having problems shooting the ball.
Then you have Okafor, whom no one wants, and the Sixers can't give away. My guess is he'll leave as a free agent.
All that tanking, but all they've got for it are questionable star caliber players.
On the other hand, Jayson Tatum is starting in tonight's season openor 😀

Cloudy. Most of their young players are unproven, and have a major weakness. Embiid - injury; Simmons - broken shot; Fultz - self-made broken shot; Okafor - defense.

Embiid blew up last night and Simmons added a near triple double. If Embiid stays healthy he's a beast on both ends. Simmons finds a way to score even without an outside shot, and we know he can pass and rebound. Those two guys looks like studs to me. If Fultz is even halfway good Philly is going to be really tough, and pretty soon I think.
I hate the way the Sixers have done it, but if Boston and Philly are both really good at the same time, and for a number of years, it'll be a lot of fun.

I think Embiid is too heavy for his own good. I might advise him to slim down and lower his weight.
If he stays healthy, he's going to rule the NBA.

Embiid is really good, however the Hakeem comparisons are ridiculous.
Simmons knows his range, which makes his FG% a lot better knowing he can not shoot.
PHI is on its ways, however 4-years is an eternity in the NBA to lose games.

Sixers are going to end up in another rut. Simmons will be their bright spot but Embiid...great but you just have this feeling that it'll all come crashing down with injuries. By that point it'll be Simmons and Fultz. And aren't I glad we didn't take Fultz because he is completely missing the required level of ...for the lack of a better word... Kobe-ness which a guard needs when playing against bigger men.

Right, it's just this expecting of the inevitable. He may have a healthy career the rest of the way, but everytime he trips, i'm thinking it's an injury.
Yeah, Fultz has come apart. Not only is his shoulder in doubt, but his shooting form, and also his menatality. Tatum, OTOH, looks like a complete player and potential star.

I like that Tatum guy, esp since he he is from St. Louis, like my mother (I reside in CT, go figure).

PHI traded Okafor, former [HASH]3 overall in the draft, and had to give up a second round selection. Trust the process.

Oof yeah, they have to be kicking themselves for taking him of Krisnaps. A Embiid/Krisnaps/Simmons front court would be bananas.

PHI biggest issues is that they do not have a closer.
