Monday and Tuesday, Markelle will be visiting Boston for an interview and a workout.
My guess is they're going to decide what jersey number Fultz wants to wear 😀

He'd prefer to wear [HASH]20 and I imagine they will gladly give it to him It seemed like a positive visit. Danny said he didn't learn anything new but that Fultz is very talented and a good kid. What more can you ask for. He passed on a sit down dinner in a fancy restaurant for a quick burger at b.good. He said he feels like he belongs in Boston. Danny for his part, as usual, won't tip his hand. He said he liked Fultz but he is doing his due diligence to check out every possibility, including other players at the top and trades. He also hasn't ruled out a second visit from Fultz in the future. Fultz hasn't scheduled any other workouts but didn't rule out working out for other teams in the future before the draft.

Yup, both sides are playing their cards correctly. Keep other GM's guessing.
But we all know Fultz is going to be ours!!

After the C's retire Pierce's [HASH]34 they should retire the practice of retiring numbers. The team went way overboard with the practice of retiring numbers, to the point where it is getting pretty silly. Does Don Nelson's number really need to be retired? Or Cornbread Maxwell's? I guess retiring numbers was a ploy the C's used to generate ticket sales back in the 60s and 70s.

I just found this from a scout on Fultz
Fultz was saying all the right things about wanting to be the best player in the NBA but being the best in the NBA is a personal goal and not a team goal. From all reports he works hard and is a great kid. But he has given the impression that winning isn't that important. That doesn't fit with the guys we have who take any losses very hard and want to win at all costs. The Celtics definitely have a winning culture and maybe the guys around him will instill that desire to win.
For me, I'd want a player like IT or Smart who want to win and it's team over everything rather than a player who has the tools and wants individual awards but isn't so focused on winning. What do you guys think?

Definitely a huge red flag if true. I'm glad Ainge met with him face to face and got a chance to feel him out.
I agree, FL. If a guy isn't all about winning, at whatever cost, I don't want him.

It's like arguing which is more important, offense or defense. You can't be a great player without both talent and a passion to win.
I'm sure Danny has heard the criticisms of Fultz and will fully consider them.

Interesting read. Basketball is a team sport, how were the other players on his team?
Anyway, one observation similarly related, did anyone notice that WAS was down huge (the score was at the bottom of the highlights)? Granted, I didn't see any of the full games.
