Knowing the way Danny does business, it will have to be an offer that blows him away for him to trade the top pick.
Ainge needs to listen to all offers and see if he can pull off another great trade that can pay huge dividends.
Markelle is a very intriguing prospect, and sure to help us offensively. But honestly, he is not a transcendent prospect. We should not treat this pick as if it is untouchable.

I have heard credible NBA people to include executes compare his game to James Harden. If that is true, it would have to be a trade that puts us at or above the Cavs right now or it doesn't happen. You don't give up prospects with that kind of talent for a "chance" to compete. It has to be something like what Danny did in 2007 to set up our last run.

Saw this on another site (maybe a fan came up with it)
[HASH]1 pick for:
[HASH]3 pick Dario Saric (and I think the Lakers' future unprotected pick)
Just for fun (cause I really don't think Philly would do this), would you do this trade?

His frame is not as sturdy as Harden's, but Fultz is more acrobatic.
I just don't want Fultz to emulate Harden in the way he runs the offense. It's highly effective, what they're doing in Houston, but I don't enjoy watching that offense.
And yes, if Fultz's ceiling is like that of Harden's level (25+ ppg), then we only trade him for a blockbuster offer.

I am not a fan of Harden either, I can't stand all of the flopping. I just hope that they are right that Fultz is a 25 ppg scorer without the flopping.

I saw that post too...SB Nation, Celticsblog? As much as I like hoarding, BOS needs quality over quantity. 2017 draft, Fultz offers that quality.

The question that Danny would have to determine is whether he thinks Fultz will be better than whoever he would pick at [HASH]3 and Saric. I wasn't tremendously impressed with Saric in the games I watched him so not sure I would do a trade like that.

My opinion is that there is definitely a drop between 1 and 2; 2-5 is another range then a drop between 5 and 6; 6-10 another range; then a free fall.
