I haven't seen much of Fultz because I don't watch a lot of college ball but from what I've read, Fultz could be that kind of a franchise player. I don't see Paul George, Jimmy Butler or Gordon Hayward as being a franchise player. But, any of them could add to a Pistons like roster where they would strong enough to overcome a superstar on the other teams. One player I don't want is Blake Griffin. He is a prima Donna who is oft injured and he has lost a ton of athleticism with successive injuries. Fultz is the real deal. Youtube.com has some great clips. A couple of observations: *Quick shooting mechanics...reminds me of Eddie House. *Uses his height to see the floor. *Great handles (used the Shammgod one sequence).

I've seen questions about his ability to translate his offense to the NBA. I've also seen people question the fact that he put up big numbers on a bad team and it didn't transfer to wins for his team. I've also seen people say he doesn't really have any weaknesses. So I'm not sure which opinion is right or if they both have some validity. Like I said, I don't pay mucth attention to college ball so I don't know if these are valid concerns. Have you seen these concerns or know if they are valid?

I do believe his offense will translate to the NBA because
1) he's creative, deceptive, crafty, slippery 2) can get off his shots in a variety of ways near the rim, with either hand 3) adjusts his shot, even in midair 4) can score close to the rim, midrange, and 3's 5) really good in transition

One thing that most true franchise players, NBA greats have is determination, an extreme will to win. Larry Legend exemplified this, as did Jordan, as did Russell, etc.
We can see it in Lebron, like we saw it in Kobe and KG.
Not sure I see this in Markelle Fultz, but then again I don't see it in Steph Curry.

Thanks for the insight into Fultz Derren. I also read that he has the tools to be an excellent defender when he is moved to play defense but that he didn't always do so. Is that what you are talking about Derren as far as determination?

Quit on his MIA team, and took his "talents" north.

Is that what you are talking about Derren as far as determination? Sort of. I'm more referring to the determination that you see in hustle plays, like an old Larry Bird diving onto the floor for a looseball, hurting back and all. I'd like to see these talented players lay it out on every play. It's like what Barkley says, thst rebounding is all about effort.
