IT expects to play in Game 1 vs Wizards

Danny Ainge chartered a plane for he and IT (maybe others but I know at least Danny and IT) to fly to Seatlle to attend Chyna's funeral.  The other players all wanted to go but IT told them to stay and prepare for the Wizards since there was such a short turn around.   Avery said that his family will attend.  He really wanted to but is doing as IT asked to stay and get ready for the Wizards.  IT and Danny expect to fly back after the funeral so that IT can play.

I'd be really surprised if IT plays well in game 1.  Poor guy will have jet lag and his emotions will still be pretty raw.  Hopefully his teammates will come through and have his back as they did in the final two games against the Bulls.  

I don't get the league and why they gave the Celtics just 1 day between series.   The Raptors finished their series on Thursday and the Cavs have been done for some time now but yet they don't start their series until Monday.  The Celtics should have had till Monday and the Cavs start on Sunday.  I have a feeling the League wants a Cavs Warriors finals rematch and they are giving the older Cavs more time to rest and be fresh for their next series.   It's just not right.

Yea that'll be tough for IT. I'm hoping we don't start sluggish like the last series because of this. We can't afford to drop the first two games against this kind of team. They're not the Bulls. It'll be a good series.

IT did not have big scoring games the last 2 contests, and his team covered for him. We'll need them to step up big again.

Avery is leaading the qay, along with Horford. But we'll need Gerald and Jae, and oyhers too.

IMO this series comes down to the supporting casts. IT and Wall will pretty much cancel each other out in production. Beale is overrated IMO, but we can't allow him to get on a roll. We are the deeper and better team, and Game 1 is Washington's best chance to win in Boston is Game 1 with all of the stuff going on with IT. They struggle enough to win on the road, Barkley even said that they are not the same team on the road vs at home. We will only get better the further away IT and the team has more time pass from his sisters funeral. I can't fathom what that guy is going through, but he is a warrior on the court.

Horford and Bradley are the key to this series. If they show up consistently, we will win this series really fast. But consistency hasn't been their strength so it should be a good series.

And come through the supporting cast did, once again (in addition to IT having a big scoring night).

We are hard to stop when Jae, Bradley, Horford, Smart, Olynyk, and Rozier are collectively chipping in points, especially behind the arc.
