The pressure of the playoffs, and its intensity, can crush a young, and inexperienced player. It can cause him to crumble and seek comfort in his shell. But not for Terry Rozier. This opening round of the playoffs has been his coming out party.
It's not only that he's playing looser, and with more confidence, flair and pizazz, but his game also has surfaced. He's knocking down three's, driving the lanes, anticipating steals, dunking balls on fastbreaks, etc.
But not only that, but in recent scuffles between our players and the Bulls, Rozier is one of the first guys on the scene, and he's pushing Bulls players away (in an instigating kind of way). His courage, his comfort level, his effectiveness on the court has all stepped up in the playoffs.
Rozier is finding success that'll surely build his confidence and take his game to another level. Avery Bradley went through this period as well, and he's been able to ratchet up his game with this added confidence.
This will be a big summer for Terry. I'm sure he will be filled with motivation to ride this wave he's on, and come into next season a more impactful player.

I agree. He is looking like he could be an intriguing piece for the future of this team. Could be an awesome guard off the bench.

I love watching him play and think his ceiling is higher than Smart's. I'd love to see him really focus on improving his dribbling this summer. It's not that he gets picked that often, but it does frequently seem that he's on the verge of doing so. If he could tighten that up I think he could become a tough guy to guard. Add that to his D and rebounding and we'd really have something - like an Avery who could create his own shot.

Haha, that's my observation too. For one thing, he over dribbles. Another thing is, he's merely doing fancy dribbling, rather than using fancy dribbling to get to where he wants to go.
But he's getting better -- it was more exaggerated last year, and early this year. He seems to be harnessing it better now.
Fresh, Danny was really high on Rozier, and I do think he's going to play a significant role for us, now and in the future.
