What do you guys think? Everyone is saying Rondo's absence is the reason why we've won the last 2 games -- as if to say if Rondo didn't break his bone, we'd possibly be swept already. You guys buy that?
To me, it isn't all about Rondo's absence. Game 3 was our turning point. It was our wake up call. Even before Game 3, Mike Gorman said the guys were focused and ready to play hard.
Rondo probably would have made the game closer, but I think we would've won Games 3 and 4 even if the Bulls had Rondo on the floor.

Personally I think Rondo looked much better because the Celtics were in shock in games 1 and 2. IT's sister had just been killed and the entire team was having trouble dealing with it. They were going through the motions in the first 2 games. In games 3 and 4, they finally were able to play like the Celtics and I think with or without Rondo, the Celtics would have been the better team.
Kind of funny... DWade ended Rondo's playoffs way back when he dislocated his elbow (on purpose I might add) and Rondo couldn't stand him and called him dirty etc. Well, now they are teammates. Rondo played well enough in those two games to be able to get a nice contract next season. But, DWade looks awful without Rondo to feed him the ball. Wouldn't it be funny if Rondo is just hanging Wade out there to get even. It would be a Rondo thing to do. Get himself a nice contract for next year and pretty much end Wade's last hurrah. Probably just my twisted thinking but I can see it happening.
Then again, I can see Rondo coming back as well but I do think it would be a different story if he does. The Celtics are a different team now. Rondo would be much better off not coming back and leaving that last impression of him as the savior of the Bulls to hang around for next year's contract.
