As good as we have become since Brad took over as head coach, we are not yet true contenders. Going forward, Ainge needs to identify where we need help and do his best to address those areas.
In some ways, he has already done so, as far as getting players who could potentially fill in and plug holes. For instance one of our areas that need improving is at Center, particularly on the boards and blocking shots. We have a young Center in Ante Zizic who could be that guy that solves that problem.
We could probably use more muscle off the bench (Olynyk and Jerebko are not bruisers), and maybe Yabusele can step up into this role.
Where we could also attempt to improve is our scoring. In addition to IT, we could use another real scoring threat. We have a lot of complementary scorers who can knock down shots in the flow of the offense. But we sorely miss a guy who can create his own.
Again, maybe Ainge already drafted a player like this (Jaylen Brwn).
Where else could we look to beef up?
